Chalet Koala is a family run catered chalet in the heart of the Portes du Soleil with over 650km of marked pistes and just 75 minutes from Geneva making it ideal for short breaks or longer stays. The Ardent lift, just five minutes from the chalet either by car or free bus, which stops at the end of drive, gives quick and easy access to the areas of Avoriaz, Chatel and into Switzerland.
The large comfy lounge with squashy leather sofas, open log fire and honesty bar is great for chilling out and talking over the day's excitment on the slopes, there is also sky tv, dvd, hifi, wifi should you need to keep in touch. A games room with table tennis, air hockey, darts and table football and the den with Wii, PS2, dvd, hifi, games, books and toys will help keep the children amused. The sauna is great for easing those well earned aches and pains.
Food is an important part of a holiday especially after a day on the slopes, we serve delicious home cooked feasts using fresh local produce where possible with selected wines on six nights and an earlier two course children's supper for your further relaxation.
Our chalet can sleep up to 28 in nine light, airy and spacious bedrooms making it ideal for large groups, family get togethers or smaller groups of friends and we welcome from 1 - 28, the chalet can be booked per person/rooms or an exclusive rental.
There are five bedrooms on the ground floor sleeping up to 15, two bedrooms on the first floor sleeping up to 6 and two bedrooms on the top floor sleeping up to 7.
The ground floor has two separate showers, two separate toilets and a full bathroom with toilet and a shower over the bath, whilst the first and second floor have separate toilets and full bathroom with shower over the bath. All bedrooms on the ground and first floor have a sink.
Our aim is to go that little bit further and tailor your holiday to your needs, making it one that you will remember for all the right reasons and want to repeat again - some guests have been staying with us as long as we have had the chalet - 10 seasons!

Notes on pricings
Typically the pricing for "sole use" chalets are quoted based on the cost of renting the whole chalet, whilst large ski chalets that are not for sole use will usually quote their prices per person, based on 2 people sharing a room. Please note that whilst every effort has been made to accurately display the owners rental rates, mistakes do happen, and rates can be subject to change by the owner. Therefore these rates should be taken as a guide only. Final costing should be agreed and confirmed with the chalet owners direct.
Getting There
8 hour drive from Calais: approx 500 miles. Car rental Geneva approx 1 hour.
Cluses or Thonon stations: approx 40 minutes from the chalet.
Geneva is our nearest airport and well served by the low cost airlines from all parts of the UK and many European cities. Lyon airport is approx 2.5 hours from the chalet.
