Additional information

Chalet Marie Stuart is on three levels and has six ensuite double/twin bedrooms, two of which can take a third bed. The spacious salon/dining room has log burning fire. French windows lead on to balconies, where you can enjoy a meal or a drink, while looking at the magnificent view over the Giffre Valley

The chalet is privately owned and operated by Caroline Morgan, a qualified chef with considerable chalet experience. You can enjoy superb meals – a substantial breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner with wine and liqueurs, preceded by an aperitif and canapés. Childrens’ menus are available for an early supper to allow you to relax in the evening. Special dietary needs can be catered for by prior arrangement.

The chalet has a separate satellite TV room, a games room,a sauna suite with multi-jet shower and wc. There is ski and board storage, and a heated storage area for boots and ski clothes. Books, games, CDs, DVDs and videos are available.

Assistance can be given with arranging transfers, ski passes, equipment hire (20% discount), local childcare and ski lessons.

Winter - from Samoëns you have access to the Grand Massif (265 km pistes)  (Flaine, Le Carroz, Morillon and Sixt Fer à Cheval).  The Chariande Express, a new 6 seater chair lift, between Samoëns 1600 and Tete de Saix should greatly speed up access to Flaine. Good snow record with a variety of pistes up to 2,500m. The chalet is 800m from each of the lifts and the free ski bus stops 50m from the door.

Spring/Summer/Autumn - The chalet is open all year, and summer activities such as walking, cycling, white water rafting, parapenting and many other sports may be enjoyed. Samoëns has botanic gardens, two huge tree top adventure parks, and other activities for children, as well as many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. In summer there is a pool in the chalet grounds as well as a public pool in the village.

Notes on pricings

Typically the pricing for "sole use" chalets are quoted based on the cost of renting the whole chalet, whilst large ski chalets that are not for sole use will usually quote their prices per person, based on 2 people sharing a room. Please note that whilst every effort has been made to accurately display the owners rental rates, mistakes do happen, and rates can be subject to change by the owner. Therefore these rates should be taken as a guide only. Final costing should be agreed and confirmed with the chalet owners direct.
