Located on the ski hill at Kimberley Alpine Resort British Columbia just 150 yards from both Trickle Creek Golf Course and the North Star High Speed Quad ski lift, Sunshine Chalet is a magnificent new building in the style of an original Swiss Ski Chalet and is the largest of any Kimberley ski chalet offering over 4,000 square feet of living area. Inside this Kimberley ski chalet are state of the art modern fixtures and fittings to make your skiing holiday a truly memorable one. From the open plan living and dining area with its grand cathedral ceilings and real log fire rises the four foot wide open tread staircase which leads to the mezzanine and 4 large en suite bedrooms each with its own access to an outside deck (balcony). The 5th bedroom is located on the main floor. This room also has its own access to an outer deck. Its en suite facilities are truly modern with 2 head shower walk in wet room. ( Both the bedroom and wet room are wheelchair accessible) as is the rest of the main floor of this luxury fully catered ski chalet.

Notes on pricings

Typically the pricing for "sole use" chalets are quoted based on the cost of renting the whole chalet, whilst large ski chalets that are not for sole use will usually quote their prices per person, based on 2 people sharing a room. Please note that whilst every effort has been made to accurately display the owners rental rates, mistakes do happen, and rates can be subject to change by the owner. Therefore these rates should be taken as a guide only. Final costing should be agreed and confirmed with the chalet owners direct.

Getting There

Driving From Calgary

Southern route:

On leaving the airport you turn left onto Barlow Trail North, in 0.5km turn left on Airport trail, after 2.5kms turn left on to Deer Foot Trail then in 32.2 kms merge on to HWY 2 South after 136km turn west on to HWY 3 to Crows Nest Pass. In 249km take exit to Kimberley and Airport HWY 95. In 27.6km at the lights in Kimberley turn left and follow the signs to Kimberley Alpine Resort

Northern route:

On leaving the airport you turn left onto Barlow Trail North, in 0.5km turn left on Airport Trail, after 2.5kms turn left on to Deer Foot Trail then in 8kms take the exit to 16ave west / HWY 1. After 158km exit onto HWY 95S south and its now 85km to the 'T' intersection in Radium Hot Springs, turn left there and drive 118km to Kimberley, at the set of lights straight on and follow signs to Kimberley Alpine Resort

With the opening of the new Rockies International Airport, Kimberley is now the easiest Canadian Ski Resort for international travellers to reach.

Kimberley is just a short 20 minute drive from the new airport and is a scenic 4 hour drive along major roads from both Calgary and Spokane. Vancouver is a 13 hour road trip. Internal flights are 45 minutes from Calgary and 1 hour 30mins from Vancouver. International flights to the new Canadian Rockies International Airport at Cranbrook are scheduled to begin before the start of the 2007 / 2008 ski season but we have no information to date. As soon as we learn more we will add the information here
