Chalet Le Dragon – Cosy and friendly, family run accommodation with easy access to the exhilarating Portes du Soleil ski area via the gondola opposite the chalet.

Just over an hour from Geneva, set in the delightful village of La Chapelle d’Abondance, the chalet offers you easy access to the truly fabulous, Les Portes Du Soleil - a large region of the Alps encompassing thirteen resorts between Mont Blanc in France and Lake Geneva in Switzerland, popular for skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking and hiking. The region offers 650 km of marked pistes and trails and 230 lifts in total, spread over 14 valleys and 400 square miles (1036 square km).

A winter stay at Chalet Le Dragon gives you an exciting new choice everyday – take the gondola opposite the chalet up to Switzerland and join the vast Portes Du Soleil area or explore the “Cret Beni”, La Chapelle’s own quieter ski area which is ideally suited to beginners and families – the best of both worlds! Notes on pricings

Typically the pricing for "sole use" chalets are quoted based on the cost of renting the whole chalet, whilst large ski chalets that are not for sole use will usually quote their prices per person, based on 2 people sharing a room. Please note that whilst every effort has been made to accurately display the owners rental rates, mistakes do happen, and rates can be subject to change by the owner. Therefore these rates should be taken as a guide only. Final costing should be agreed and confirmed with the chalet owners direct.

Getting There

Around 1hr 20 mins from Geneva, La Chapelle d'Abondance is mid-way along the Valley d'Abondance.

From Calais it is approximately 8hrs drive along very easy & clear roads. Tolls are approximately 70 Euros each way. We recommend an overnight stay at Troyes - approx 4 hrs from Calais, close to the A26/A5 intersection.

Eurostar to Paris, Geneva and then Thonon les Bains, Aigle, Val D'illiez or Champery

Fly direct to Geneva from most UK airports. Look up flights via EasyJet, Jet2, BMI or BA. From £50 return if you book early enough!!
