Notes on pricings

Typically the pricing for "sole use" chalets are quoted based on the cost of renting the whole chalet, whilst large ski chalets that are not for sole use will usually quote their prices per person, based on 2 people sharing a room. Please note that whilst every effort has been made to accurately display the owners rental rates, mistakes do happen, and rates can be subject to change by the owner. Therefore these rates should be taken as a guide only. Final costing should be agreed and confirmed with the chalet owners direct.

Getting There

From Geneva Airport:

Follow signs for ‘FRANCE’ and shortly after there will be signs for ‘CHAMONIX’

This will take you through Customs and onto the Autoroute Blanche (White Motorway). This motorway takes you almost all the way to Chamonix.

Follow the Autoroute Blanche until the very end, and continue straight onward. You will go up a road built on stilts, which takes you up into the Chamonix Valley. This is the N506. Follow the road until you reach Chamonix. Chamonix is signposted all the way.

After about 20 minutes (after passing the town of Les Houches), you will come to a large roundabout which is signposted Chamonix or Mont Blanc tunnel - follow direction ‘Chamonix’.

You will come to a second large roundabout, at which you take a left (signposted CHAMONIX SUD) on to Rue de Courmayeur (Square G15 of map)

Immediately thereafter you will come to another small roundabout at which you take a right signposted ‘CHAMONIX SUD/ CASINO). (square G15/16 of map).

This takes you onto Rue Du Lyret and you have entered the one way system.  Follow this road straight as it passes the ‘Aiguille du Midi’ lift and curves around the corner to the right.

You will come to a roundabout at which you go right and then take the next left turn possible, under the bridge, now taking you on to Rue des Allobroges. There is a pay and display car park on your right, park in here.

 From Martigny Direction:

Drive via the Col de Forclaz which will wind its way through into the Chamonix Valley, passing the village of Argentiere and Les Praz. Keep following the same road and eventually it will bring you to a large roundabout at the start of Chamonix Town, called Place du Mont Blanc (F20 of attached map)

Take a left at this roundabout (signposted ‘TOUTS DIRECTION’) onto Avenue Cachat Geant, and drive across the bridge and the train tracks. Drive straight ahead for a while, eventually you will come to another roundabout.

At the roundabout go straight ahead (signposted ‘GARE SNCF), onto Rue Whymper (F20 on map) and follow this road round to the right and on to Avenue Michel Croz.

At the top of this street there is a mini roundabout and the main trainstation (GARE SNCF). Take a right. There is a Mercure hotel on both sides of the road. Just past the Mercure hotel on the left there is a pay and display car park. Park in there.

The chalet is just on the opposite side of the street from the car park, next to the smaller Mercure hotel.

Closest train station is less than 1 min walk. Exiting the train station (square G20 of map) go left, walking toward the Mercure Hotel which is on both sides of the street. The chalet is just next to the Mercure on the right hand side of the road (just past it)
