Typically the pricing for "sole use" chalets are quoted based on the cost of renting the whole chalet, whilst large ski chalets that are not for sole use will usually quote their prices per person, based on 2 people sharing a room. Coming from the north of France :

Via Grenoble (100km from Serre-Chevalier) : A51 motorway then RN91 road going over the Lautaret pass.   Via Chambery : Maurienne A43 motorway then :   through the Fréjus tunnel, Saulce d’Oulx (Italy), Montgenèvre pass then Briançon.   or directly over the Galibier pass (closed during winter)

Coming from Italy :

Via Turin, A32 motorway, Saulce d’Oulx exit, then over the Montgenèvre pass (RN94) and Briançon.  Coming from the south of France: From Marseille, Montpellier, A51 motorway direction Sisteron, La Saulce exit (90km from Serre Chevalier), Embrun, Briançon RN 94.
