Additional information

Chalet La Plagnette is a wonderful example of a lovingly restored, 18th century farmhouse situated just minutes from Morzine town centre. The plush accommodation is spread over two floors, and is finished to a high standard with contemporary, modern furnishings. The spacious, open plan living and dining area contains double height ceilings, exposing a wealth of beautiful original oak beam work, and also contains a brand new, stunning feature wood burning fireplace creating a cosy environment in which to relax and enjoy a drink whilst reliving the exploits of the day. A flat-screen TV with English Sky channels means that you never have to miss that important sporting event or favourite show, whilst the iPod docking station and DVD/CD player can provide subtle background sounds.
Sliding doors open out on to a large chill out area of balcony, with fabulous views along the valley to Nyon and Ressachaux, a perfect spot to enjoy the late winter sunshine. Steps lead down to the garden area and the quietly located hot tub, where you can enjoy a glass of Champagne whilst taking in the tranquillity of the surroundings
The all-important dining area is again, double height giving a feeling of grandeur. With views across the valley it is a lovely spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast, transforming into an ambient dinner party style setting during the evening. The long dining table provides ample space for 12 diners to enjoy a delicious, four course dinner. Here, the well stocked bar area is always full ensuring that refreshments are on hand along with a few extra, well deserved treats after a hard day on the mountain.
From this level, there are two separate mezzanine areas, one used as a TV lounge complete with flat screen TV, DVD and Playstation 3, perfect for keeping kids (both big and small) amused in the evenings. The second is a private area that forms part of the family suite complete with separate bedroom and shower room.
A large heated boot room and ski locker is located downstairs with external access meaning that ski boots can be removed and slippers donned the minute you return home!

Notes on pricings

Typically the pricing for "sole use" chalets are quoted based on the cost of renting the whole chalet, whilst large ski chalets that are not for sole use will usually quote their prices per person, based on 2 people sharing a room. Please note that whilst every effort has been made to accurately display the owners rental rates, mistakes do happen, and rates can be subject to change by the owner. Therefore these rates should be taken as a guide only. Final costing should be agreed and confirmed with the chalet owners direct.

Getting There

If you choose to drive your own car to us Morzine is 998km from London and 866km from Calais.

Once across the channel and into either Dunquerqe, Boulougne or Calais, it is roughly 8 hours drive depending on traffic and road conditions.

Follow the A6 motorway and then the A40 towards Geneva. At Junction 18 take the exit and then follow the signs for Portes du Soleil or Morzine/Les Gets.

Train travel is a relatively convenient way of reaching Morzine. If you are coming from Paris, one option is to connect with a high-speed TGV train taking you to Cluses station. From Cluses station, you can either catch a bus or taxi to the resort, or contact us for our transfer rate.

From Geneva, there is a very scenic train ride into the mountains, which requires a short taxi trip from the railway station to the resort.

Otherwise, you can take a shuttle bus from Geneva to Morzine with schedules available from the tourist office. Railway fares, timetables and services are available from SNCF.

Geneva is the closest major airport situated just 80km away or just over one hour's drive from Morzine.

This is serviced by both budget and major airlines from most of the major airports in Europe.

In order of proximity, other nearby airports are: 123km Chambery, 190km Zurich, 210km Grenoble, 211km Lyon.

The chalet can comfortable accommodate 4 cars
