We warmly invite you to stay at our traditional and fully renovated Chalet Sonne, located in the picturesque ski resort of Maria Alm less than one hour’s drive from the Historic city of Salzburg.

Your chalet hosts provide full catering including buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner with complimentary wine and coffee to follow.

The chalet has a spacious living room with a typical Austrian Kachelofen. There is also a flat screen TV & DVD player and on the ground floor a Sauna.

Set in a south facing location your alpine home has direct views to the slopes of the Aberg mountain- and as part of the immense Hochkönig circuit with 39 ski lifts and over 150kms of prepared pistes some great skiing awaits you on this Austrian Holiday.

Notes on pricings

Typically the pricing for "sole use" chalets are quoted based on the cost of renting the whole chalet, whilst large ski chalets that are not for sole use will usually quote their prices per person, based on 2 people sharing a room. Please note that whilst every effort has been made to accurately display the owners rental rates, mistakes do happen, and rates can be subject to change by the owner. Therefore these rates should be taken as a guide only. Final costing should be agreed and confirmed with the chalet owners direct.

Getting There

Travelling by car from the UK
Follow the motorway network from Calais and passing via Munich enter Austria on the Salzburg autobahn. Exiting at Seigsdorf or Salzburg head in the direction of Zell am See to the town of Saalfelden. There turn left and head in the direction of Hintertal for 5 kms. On reaching Maria Alm turn left to the centre of the village, again turn left at the village square before Hotel Moserwirt crossing over the small bridge and following the road to the left. The Chalet is 300-400 metres further along on the right

Travelling by Air
For those guests travelling by Air the nearest airport is Salzburg, around one hour by road. There are numerous low cost carriers flying regular services into Salzburg at excellent rates. The following are available this winter: Ryanair operates flights from Stansted, British Airways operate from London Gatwick. Easyjet operate from London Gatwick (our recommendation for price) and also fly into Innsbruck which is also convenient for Maria Alm with a transfer time of 2.5 hours.
