The Julian Alps in Slovenia are at the extreme eastern side of the European Alps. The mountain range comprises many magnificent peaks, including the mighty Triglav, the three headed mountain at 2864m, which rules over the diversified range below including Razor (2601m), Mangart (2679m), Spik (2472m) and Jalovec (2645m).
The main resort of the region is Kranjska Gora. Kranjska is the hub of the region and is fast earning its reputation as a major tourism and sports domaine, famed primarily for its World Cup competitions in alpine skiing.
